The Power of 8: A Symphony of Intention
I recently joined a Power of 8 group not really knowing what to expect. I’d heard about collective healing, but hadn’t quite grasped the depth of it—until I started diving into the work of Lynne McTaggart. She’s the author and researcher behind this powerful concept, and once I started reading her books and watching her lectures online, something clicked.
The basic idea is simple but profound: intention is energy, and when a group focuses that energy together, transformation happens. Not just for the person we’re directing it toward—but for every person in the group as well.
Collective Focus, Shared Healing
In our group, we take 10 focused minutes to set a clear intention for one person. It could be healing, clarity, abundance—whatever they need most in that moment. Each of us becomes a tuning fork, vibrating in harmony with that shared desire. We visualize the outcome, speak it, feel it, and hold it as truth.
And here’s what’s wild: it works. People report shifts in their energy, in their emotions, even in their physical conditions. But more than that—I started to notice something shifting in me too.
The energy we put out doesn’t just move outward; it circulates. It uplifts everyone participating. That’s what Lynne McTaggart found in her research. There’s a mirror effect. Intention heals the sender and the receiver.
Just Like the Early Disciples
What struck me most was how familiar this felt. In the New Testament, we’re told that Jesus and his followers would pray “with one accord.” That same language of harmony, alignment, and unified purpose echoes through the Power of 8 practice.
We weren’t in the same room. We weren’t lighting candles or chanting. We simply connected through shared focus and belief—and that was enough to create something real.
Healing Isn’t Solo Work
We’ve been told healing is an individual journey. But the Power of 8 reminds me that we were never meant to do it alone. These healing circles are modern expressions of an ancient practice. Every culture has known the power of community, intention, and heart-centered alignment.
So now, when I join my group, I don’t just hope it helps—I know it does. For the person in the center. And for each of us holding the intention with love and belief.
✨ Ready to Experience It?
