What’s In a Name? The Power of Identity and Divine Intention

There’s an old saying that “words cast spells.” That’s why it’s called spelling.
But if words have that much power, what about the word you hear and speak the most—your name?

Your name is more than just a label.
It’s a vibration, a declaration, and in many ways, a sacred blueprint.
It holds energetic weight, purpose, and potential. Whether you realize it or not, your name has been shaping your path since the moment it was spoken into existence.

The Meaning Behind My Name

My name is Kristopher Michael Alexander.

  • Kristopher means Christ-bearer or Christ-like.

  • Michael means Who is like God?—the archangel of protection, truth, and divine justice.

  • Alexander means Defender of mankind, leader of men.

Put it all together and what you get is not just a nice arrangement of syllables—you get a soul mission. A reminder every time I speak it or hear it.
To embody Christ consciousness.
To walk in divine protection.
To lead, guide, and uplift humanity.

This isn’t about ego.
It’s about alignment.
It’s about knowing that your name holds an energetic imprint of what you came here to remember and become.

The Bible and the Power of Renaming

Throughout scripture, names were rarely random.
They were assignments. And sometimes, they were updated to match a new level of calling.

  • Abram became Abraham, meaning father of a multitude.

  • Sarai became Sarah, meaning princess—a mother of nations.

  • Simon became Peter, the rock upon which the Church would be built.

  • Jabez, whose name literally meant pain, cried out to God—and because of his honor and influence, his future was rewritten.

These weren’t just cosmetic changes. They were declarations of identity, purpose, and divine potential.

Names as Spells: What Are You Calling Yourself?

When you speak your name, you’re casting a frequency into the field.
You’re saying: This is who I am. This is how I’m known. This is the energy I carry.

So here’s a real question:

What name are you living under?
Is it one that uplifts, empowers, and aligns you with your higher self?
Or is it a name, label, or title you inherited that no longer fits?

This goes beyond just birth names.
Think about what you call yourself in your thoughts and your words:

  • “I’m just not good enough…”

  • “I’m the black sheep…”

  • “I’m a failure…”

  • “I’m too much…”

  • “I’m not enough…”

Those are names, too.
They’re not on your birth certificate, but they live in your energy field. And they are shaping your reality.

Claim the Name That Aligns with Who You Really Are

You have the right to rename yourself energetically, spiritually, even practically.

You have the right to say:

“I am no longer the name life gave me—I am the name my soul remembers.”

Whether you go by your birth name, a spiritual name, or a name you create with intention, what matters most is this:

Does this name honor your truth? Does it call you higher? Does it remind you of who you came here to be?

Because when your name aligns with your soul, it becomes a living prayer.
A coded message to the universe that says: I remember. I choose. I am.

Call Yourself What You Came Here to Be

Your name is not random.
It’s a story, a vibration, a seed of your purpose.

Whether you were named by parents, by Spirit, or by your own awakening—
let your name be a declaration of your divinity.

Because what you call yourself…
The energy you stand in…
The name you live by…
Is shaping your world.

So speak your name with reverence.
Let it be sacred.
Let it be your reminder that you are here rightly and properly, on purpose, and with power.
